The Roboto is a completely new design, evolving from our previous surf-inspired boards. Its standout feature is the custom-designed trench, precisely shaped to integrate the Foil Drive box seamlessly while still allowing for quick battery changes. This recessed area reduces drag and enhances water flow, resulting in a smoother and more efficient ride. Positioning the Foil Drive system lower and closer to your feet also reduces swing weight, significantly improving balance and control during tight turns.
The Roboto’s outline draws clear inspiration from surfboards, especially with its fuller nose, which provides extra flotation and chest support for comfortable paddling. The rocker line is predominantly flat with a slight nose kick, allowing for quick and efficient take-offs. Subtle double concave to flat bottom contours enhance water flow and reduce surface tension for a faster glide. The tail is designed to minimize touch points while still allowing a stable platform for precise board control
The mast area is thinned and recessed for a more direct foil connection and responsiveness, while the board’s overall stiffness ensures instant feedback under your feet. Built with precision and premium materials, the Roboto is the perfect match for the Foil Drive system.

Quick Battery Swap and High-Performance Bottom Shape
Unlike many boards on the market, we wanted to retain a recessed trench shape thats streamlined around the Foil Drive box while still allowing for quick battery changes or mast adjustment. We solved this challenge – there’s no need to fully remove the Foil Drive to replace the battery! Simply loosen the bolts and slide the Foil Drive box along the 420mm tracks toward the tail of the board. The custom cutout shape provides easy access for smooth and efficient battery swaps.
Flawless Signal
A common issue with carbon boards is signal interference. Thanks to specific board construction, the controller signal remains flawless—no need for foam inserts in the tracks. This allows for quick and easy repositioning of the Foil Drive and mast, whether you’re swapping the battery or fine-tuning your mast position.

Why a Recessed Bottom Matters
Because on the trench board the Foil Drive unit is mounted closer to the feet of the rider and the Foil Drive unit sits flush with the bottom of the board., a recessed foil board creates a streamlined connection between the board and the foil. This design enhances performance in several key ways:
- Minimized drag and improved water flow – creates a smoother and more efficient ride.
- Efficient Power Use – With better foil alignment, the motor operates more effectively, reducing power loss and maximising time on the water.
- Lower chance of prop cavitation – The secure propeller placement minimizes turbulence and performance issues.
- Enhanced Lift & Reduced Drag – Placing the foil closer to the water surface improves lift while minimising drag, allowing for smoother, more efficient riding and extended battery life.
